MyVerses for Scripture Memory
New in Version 3.1
We're listening to you! Version 3.1 includes new features requested by our users. We think everyone will agree that the Improved Learn List Bullets, Automatic Scheduling Override, and Reference Quizzer Enhancements are great additions to MyVerses!

We received requests for features that we were not able to include in Version 3.1, but hope to make available in future releases. Your suggestions are appreciated. Please continue to share them with us!

Special Note for Registered Users:

Version 3.1 is compatible with all prior versions and will install cleanly over your current version. It is compatible with your existing data and registration key. Free upgrades are our way of saying thank you for supporting MyVerses!

Improved Learn List Bullets

By default, a small round bullet denotes each item displayed in the Learn list (Figure 1).

The round bullet is replaced by a plus sign (Figure 2) when you tap the Increment (i.e. +) button in the Learning Counter for that item. This allows you to easily identify verses you have started to memorize.

The plus sign bullet is replaced by a check shaped bullet (Figure 3) for the remainder of the current day whenever you reach the next milestone for that verse. This provides visual confirmation that you have reached your repetition goal for that item for the day.

Automatic Scheduling Override

A category popup menu has been added to the upper right corner of the View form (Figure 4) for all records in the Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Quarterly review lists.

You can now override the automatic scheduling feature built into MyVerses by selecting a new category from this popup menu (Figure 5).

A confirmation dialog is displayed to verify that you want to override automatic scheduling and move the verse to a new category (Figure 6).

This feature is handy, for example, when adding verses you know so well that you want to skip use of the Daily review list. It allows you to quickly move these verses to a less frequent review cycle, such as the Weekly or Monthly review list.

It is also useful when you discover you need to review a particular verse more frequently to keep it sharp. If for some reason a verse just isn't sticking in your mind, you might consider moving it back to the Daily review list and restart the review sequence for that particular verse.

Reference Quizzer™ Enhancements

A new Record menu has been added to the Reference Quizzer menu bar (Figure 7). The Repeat... menu item allows you to randomly repeat the current record during the quiz sequence. This new option allows you to keep quizzing a particular verse's reference until you "get it right."

The Hide... menu item provides you a way to hide the current verse from the Reference Quizzer. You can use this feature to avoid quizzing references you already know well.

The Quiz menu has two new menu items (Figure 8). Use Unhide All... to unhide all records you have hidden from the Reference Quizzer using the Hide... menu option described above.

The Categories... menu option displays a new category selection form (Figure 9). This form allows you to specify the categories to be included in your quiz.
