Deleting a Record
To delete a record, select Delete... from the Record menu while viewing the record in the View form (Figure 13-1).
You will be prompted to confirm that you truly want the record deleted (Figure 13-2). Tap the Yes button in the confirmation dialog box to complete the deletion.
Deleted records are not archived on your PC during HotSync. If you think you might want to restore the record in the future, use the export facility to save the record's contents in a memo record for possible import at a later time.

Purging the Learn List
It is easy to create a long list of records in the Learn list. For example, when another user beams an entire list of verses from his MyVerses application to yours, all the records you receive are created in the Learn list regardless of the list they were in on the sending unit. In addition, programs such as MySetup may be used to load verses into your database and these are also created in the Learn list.
Because it is easy to create large number of records in the Learn list and because records in this list have not yet been committed to memory, a Purge Learn... menu item is provided to quickly delete all records in this list. This command is only available in the List menu (Figure 13-3).
You will be prompted to confirm that you want to delete all records in the Learn category (Figure 13-4). Tap the Yes button in the confirmation dialog box to complete the purge.

Deleting the Entire Database
The entire database will be deleted if you delete the MyVerses application from your Palm OS device. A new (i.e. empty) database will be created if you install and execute either the MyVerses or MySetup application.
